NEW STUDY ANNOUNCEMENT

Female Muscle Strength & Endurance Study Check your eligibility here

ARE YOU A FEMALE CURRENTLY EXERCISING?

If so, you could help test a new product in a medical study to investigate muscle strength, endurance & lean body composition.

If you’re a female aged 25 to 45 years, you could help medical research.

Thank you for your interest in RDC Clinical’s new research study, into the effect of a herbal extract on muscle strength, endurance and lean body mass in women. Research has shown that this commercially available product has beneficial effects on male physiology, in particular testosterone, so this female study is an important step.

Are you willing to exercise 3 times a week at home, for 8 weeks?

If you currently undertake (or have in the recent past) cardio exercise like cycling, swimming or walking, you may be able to help in the study, potentially benefit from the product and gain useful information about yourself from a range of health and fitness tests. NB: If you’re currently exercising 5 or more times a week, or doing resistance training like lifting weights, you won’t qualify.

The study will involve attending our clinic in Newstead, Brisbane at the start, half way point and finish of the 8 week study, for a range of health and fitness tests. During the study you’ll be required to perform an exercise program at home 3 times a week and take the study treatment in capsule form… you may or may not be taking the active product. 50% of the study group will be taking a placebo (an inactive substance).

If you’d like to take part in this study, we’d love your help.

About the product you’ll help test... a natural herbal extract.

The product being studied is a commercially available capsule-form herbal medicine containing a commonly used natural seed extract. Research has shown the product has beneficial effects on male physiology, in particular testosterone, so this study is to assess its effects on muscle strength, endurance and body composition in females.

About the study you’ll take part in... health & fitness monitoring.

If you qualify for this study, you’ll be enrolled and attend our clinic in Newstead, Brisbane, for initial health and fitness tests, including muscle strength, endurance, body composition, health questionnaires and blood analysis of muscle recovery, cardiovascular health, liver function, stress & sex hormones. After this you will be given a test product to use daily in capsule form and given an exercise program that involves working out at home, 3 times a week for 8 weeks.

At weeks 4 and 8 of the study, you’ll attend our clinic again to complete 2 x exercise sessions and a muscle strength, endurance and body composition assessment. At week 8 you will also be required to undertake final blood analysis, final assessment and repeat the health questionnaires.

If you’re a female aged between 25 and 45 and meet the selection criteria below, you may qualify to help with this study. You can register your interest by answering the questionnaire and completing the form on this page… we’ll then get in touch to screen you for suitability.
